Talking dogs and other odd occurrences in nature and life
Her Oneness has discovered a new ability: her animals talk to her and she is able to relay their concerns to the minions. Now, one might wonder what an animal might say under these circumstances, I mean a chance to be heard and understood must be quite unique to them! Well apparently they are just as concerned with the mundane as the rest of us. In this particular instance they wanted to have the room temperature changed from 72 degrees to 68 degrees, who knew they even knew the difference? I can't tell the difference but on the other hand animals are known to be sensitive to stuff I guess... I wake up daily and wonder where the 10 lbs that are coating my body came from, I think it is something in the air of my room maybe... I seem to have acquired new sleeping habits which may be a hint to this strange phenomenon: I can't stay up late anymore and find myself wide awake at 6:30 or 7 every morning without an alarm! Probably because my body finally decides to reject whatever it is that keeps piling weight on me while I am sleeping (!) So with nothing else to do I dash off to the gym and work out with all the other senior citizens of the UES and they are vicious!
My second job ended today and I am a little sad to leave, it was so nice and quiet to go to my lovely little office 3 afternoons a week, high up in a tower with a great view of northern Manhattan, all so soothing and civilized. To counteract this feeling I bought a ticket to Mexico last night and will be off for a week on Sunday. I find it helpful to change environment when a change in life takes place.
A friend of a friend has a house in Cuernavaca and I think it will be nice to sit around and read books and look at art for a few days, of course I plan on spending some time in DF which is one of my all time favorite cities in the world. It is so big that it makes Manhattan feel like Buffalo, I love getting lost there.
Another reason to leave is to get away from several other things that are disturbing me at the moment. I am in a terrible situation with a friend and risk getting caught in the middle of some nasty things that are taking place so I need to distance myself before a lot of people get hurt.
Our poker game is not going too well as too many people drop out at the last minute, but I haven't been loosing too much, more or less breaking even, nothing like my big win of $61.75 that one time (sweet).
Maybe the animals can tell me some secrets now that their room temperature has been adjusted and they can focus on deeper issues!
